May 7, 2007–“Thina Simunye” (“We Are Together”) received the 2007 Tribeca Film Festival's Cadillac Award, determined by audience vote, on Saturday at the closing-night premiere of HBO docu “The Gates.”
“We Are Together,” a docu helmed by Paul Taylor, also received a special jury mention at the fest's awards ceremony Thursday.
Last week EMI Music secured U.K. theatrical, DVD and soundtrack distribution rights to the picture, which chronicles the lives of children from the Agape Orphanage in South Africa as they form a choir.
