Jim Parfait, the gay influencer, is hugely popular. He is an icon of the Gym Queens community in Paris, a party king of the Marais district, the city’s heart of queer life.
If you are on top like Jim, the only way is down, and that might involve the threat of being ripped to shreds, losing your health, strength and status.
That’s the nightmare faced by Jim, one of the protagonists of the animated satire Jim Queen, world premiering in the Cannes Film Fest Midnight lineup on Sunday.
