April 30, 2008–“Home,” the second feature from Swiss helmer Ursula Meier (“Strong Shoulders”), has its world premiere as part of the Critics Week sidebar in Cannes.
Shot in Romania and starring Isabelle Huppert and Olivier Gourmet, Home recounts how a familys tranquil rural existence is threatened when a major highway is constructed nearby.
The co-production is by Swiss outfit Box Productions, Belgiums Need Productions and state broadcaster RTBF, and by Frances Archipel 35 and pubcaster France 3.
