BFI London Film Fest 2025: ‘100 Nights of Hero’ Clsoing Night

Nicholas Galitzine, Maika Monroe, Amir El-Masry, Richard E. Grant and Felicity Jones will be in attendance at London Film Fest’s closing night in October.

The “Brat” singer and The Crown actor Corrin are expected to attend, as well as stars Maika Monroe, Amir El-Masry, Richard E. Grant and Felicity Jones.

The film first hits the Lido on September 6, world premiering in Venice Critics’ Week.

Werner Herzog poses with Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement Award after the opening ceremony during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival on August 27, 2025 in Venice, Italy.
“A bold and beautiful fairy tale based on Isabel Greenberg’s graphic novel, 100 Nights of Hero follows Cherry,” a plot synopsis reads, “whose neglectful husband departs after placing a secret wager to test her fidelity, and her sharp witted maid Hero as they fend off a dangerously seductive visitor.”

Jackman said: “The BFI London Film Festival has championed my work since my very early shorts, so bringing 100 Nights of Hero here is profoundly special. To return as the closing night gala is an incredible honour, and we can’t wait to share this film on our home turf with a London audience.”

Kristy Matheson, BFI London Film Festival’s director, added: Julia Jackman is a filmmaker of enormous talent whose work we’ve had the pleasure of presenting in previous editions of the festival. We were genuinely excited to see 100 Nights of Hero and it won us over immediately with its witty scripting, pitch perfect performances and a joyfully rebellious heart…. I’m personally honoured and delighted to welcome Julia and her talented team to take the stage this year and share this wondrous film with audiences.”
LFF will run Oct. 8-19 2025.
