Cannes Film Fest 1994: Year 47–Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction Dominates Event

The 47th Cannes Film Fest was held May 12-23, 1994.

The Palme d’Or went to the  violent American indie, Pulp Fiction, directed by Quentin Tarantino.

The festival opened with  the Coens’ comedy, The Hudsucker Proxy, starring Paul Newman.

It closed with another eccentric comedy, John Waters’ Serial Mom, starring Kathleen Turner.
