History: July 22, 1946 (Jewish Bombing of King David Hotel)

July 22, 1946

Jewish freedom fighters (or terrorists, depending upon one’s position) blew up the King David Hotel in an act of militant defiance of British rule.

This event was the result of decades of frustration at not having their own Jewish state.

The background to this event is critical to understanding how and why it occurred.

Written and hosted by Colin D. Heaton.

Forgotten History is a 10th Legion Pictures Production
