"When I appear on the screen," Cary Grant once said, "I'm playing myself," though he believed that "it's harder to play yourself." January 12, 2009 – The Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA) named Mulholland Dr., from director David Lynch, the Film of the Decade, as announced today by Brent Simon, President of LAFCA. This is the organization’s inaugural survey of the decade in cinema.

Oscar: Shop on Main Street–1965 Foreign Language Winner

The noted stage Polish player, Ida Kaminska, was a Best Actress nominee for the Czech film, "The Shop on Main Street," which was voted the 1965 Best Foreign-Language Picture.
