Karlovy Vary, Czech Republic, July 4, 2013–Iranian helmer Jafar Panahi, who is under house arrest and waiting to start a six-year prison sentence, made a surprise appearance via Skype at the Karlovy Vary Film Festival Wednesday, before the screening of his latest film “Closed Curtain.”
