The Weinstein Company is launching a don’t-spoil-the-surprise campaign surrounding its upcoming release of its upcoming J.D. Salinger documentary “Salinger.”

Aug 15, 2103–Directors Wong Kar Wai and Martin Scorsese met in New York yesterday to celebrate the upcoming release of Wong’s kung fu epic THE GRANDMASTER. The Weinstein Company, who is releasing the film theatrically, recently announced that Scorsese is lending his name in presentation of the picture, deeming it MARTIN SCORSESE PRESENTS ‘THE GRANDMASTER.’

August 12, 2013–IndieFix got the rights to stream Stanley Kubrick’s first color film, the documentary “The Seafarers.”

According to Nielsen, the 2007 Oscar telecast hosted by DeGeneres averaged a big 14.1 rating/33 share in adults 18-49 and 40.18 million viewers overall. These numbers represented gains vs. the previous year and some of the best seen in a while.
