A virtual fundraiser hosted by a veritable who’s who of Hollywood Democratic donors raised $7 million for the Biden-Harris campaign Friday.

The event, hosted the day after Joe Biden accepted the Democratic nomination for President, was hosted by Jennifer Lucas and Byron Allen, Amal and George Clooney, Marilyn and Jeffrey Katzenberg, Mayor Eric Garcetti, and Ellen Bronfman Hauptman and Andrew Hauptman.

Organized by Jennifer Gonring, Jennifer Lin and Andy Spahn at GLS, a strategic consulting firm, the event was intimate for a virtual fundraiser, with about 25 donors attending. Biden, Sen. Kamala Harris and their spouses Dr. Jill Biden and Doug Emhoff all spoke.

“We are in the home stretch now,” said Quibi founder Katzenberg, one of the Democratic Party’s most ardent supporters, in a statement announcing the fundraising haul. “There is no question this is the most consequential election of our lifetime.'”

Katzenberg was also an early bundler for Biden’s campaign.

“This is an extremely important moment in our nation’s history,” said Entertainment Studios CEO Byron Allen. “We must all lean in, and I strongly believe Joe Biden and Kamala Harris will give America the leadership and the must-needed change that we all deserve.”
