Glen Powell finds a unique way to position himself for a hefty inheritance in the trailer for the A24 movie How to Make a Killing.
Writer-director John Patton Ford’s thriller hits theaters February 20, 2026.
Margaret Qualley, Jessica Henwick, Zach Woods, Topher Grace, Bill Camp and Ed Harris round out the cast.
How to Make a Killing is inspired by director Robert Hamer’s 1949 British crime movie Kind Hearts and Coronets. The new film centers on Becket Redfellow (Powell), who has been cast aside by his phenomenally wealthy family and will go to any lengths necessary — including violence — to ensure his inheritance.
Graham Broadbent, Peter Czernin and Adam Friedlander serve as producers for the movie that StudioCanal financed and also produced.
Ford’s script landed on the Black List back in 2014 when it was known as Rothchild.
“There’s going to be a new title that we will probably be debuting here in the next few weeks,” he said of his new project losing the Huntington moniker. “But the movie is fantastic, and John Patton Ford is a great filmmaker. I can’t wait for people to see it.”
