Godzilla Minus One: Fresh Installment in the King of Monsters Saga soon hits Cinemas

Godzilla Minus One is a new, fresh installment in the King of Monsters saga, soon to hit cinemas.

This Japanese production should appeal to sci-fi fans who often prefer Asian Godzilla movies to their Hollywood counterparts.

“Godzilla Minus One” premiere is slated for December 1st. But good news is already flowing out of Japan where the film launched last weekend.

“Godzilla Minus One” has been garnering positive reviews. Many consider it the best Godzilla movie since the acclaimed 1954 production by Ishiro Honda.
“This time it’s a brutal killing machine that destroys, hunts, and rules. Its overwhelming, primal force obliterates everything in its path. The King of Monsters evokes fear like in old times,” commented one critic.

The movie plot is set just after World War II. But peace eludes Japan as it’s beset by Godzilla. This enormous kaiju monster needs no introduction. A pop culture mainstay since the 1950s; so far, it graces 38 films – 33 Japanese and five American.

“Godzilla Minus One” was created with a budget of 15 million dollars, a mere fraction of the 150 million typically spent on Hollywood Godzilla films. Nevertheless, critics and viewers alike, are lauding the special effects team for delivering “the most spectacular movie of the year”, with just 10% of a Hollywood production budget.

The latest Godzilla movie has also taken Japanese box offices by storm.
In the first 3 days of its screening, it earned nearly $7 million, setting a record opening for the franchise, and outperforming the American “Godzilla vs Kong” from 2021.
