Oscar Actors: Shannon, Michael–Two-Time Supporting Actor Nominee

Michael Shannon (born in 1974) has been nominated twice for the Best Supporting Actor Oscar, for his roles in Sam Mendes Revolutionary Road (2007) and in Tom Ford’s Nocturnal Animals (2016).

He earned nominations from SAG and the Golden Globes for his role in 99 Homes (2014), and Tony Award nomination as Best Featured Actor in “Long Day’s Journey into Night” (2016).

Shannon is best known for his frequent collaborations with director Jeff Nichols, appearing in all of his films: Shotgun Stories (2007), Take Shelter (2011), Mud (2012), Midnight Special (2015), and Loving (2016).
