Roeg, Nicolas: British Cult, Experimental Filmmaker Dies at 90

November 24, 2018–British director  Nicolas Roeg, cult figure, who has made innovative and experimental films, such as “Performance,” “Don’t Look Now,” and “The Man Who Fell to Earth,” died Friday.  He was 90.

Directors including Edgar Wright and Duncan Jones, whose father, singer-actor-celeb David Bowie starred in “The Man Who Fell to Earth,” remembered Roeg’s visual mastery and complex storytelling.

“Thank you for making so many brave choices and giving this little lad in pajamas an ongoing love of filmmaking,” Jones wrote.
