The second of three sequels to Airport, the trashy picture that began the disaster movie cycle, in 1970, Jerry Jameson’s Airport 77 depicts a jet that sinks into the ocean, thus borrowing elements from the 1972 disaster flick, “The Poseidon Adventure.”
