Robert Z. Leonard directed Too Young to Kiss (aka All Too Young), an MGM comedy, starring its top talent, Van Johnson and June Allyson.
Allyson, then age 34, plays Cynthia Potter, a woman masquerading as a 14-year-old child prodigy.
Cynthia, a skilled pianist, is trying to get the attention of concert promoter Eric Wainwright, but he is only looking for young talent. To meet his criteria, Potter masquerades as her own fictional younger sister, a 14-year-old “Molly” Potter.
The gimmick work and Wainwright is captivated by Molly’s skills, even developing paternal affectation towards her.
