The 33rd Independent Spirit Awards were handed out Saturday afternoon in Santa Monica.
Call Me by Your Name was up for six nominations, and won for best cinematography and best male lead for Timothee Chalamet.
“Get Out” won two awards, including best feature and best director.
Oscar frontrunner Frances McDormand won the best female lead award for “Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.”
“Ingrid Goes West” won for best first feature, and Emily V. Gordon and Kumail Nanjiani won best first screenplay for “The Big Sick.” Greta Gerwig took home the award for best screenplay for “Lady Bird.”
