February 1, 2008–The inspirational epic Bible story, “The Ten Commandments,” done as a CGI-animated feature will be available on DVD February 5 from Genius Products.
Recipient of the Dove Foundation Award and called “a dazzling animated epic for the family,” “The Ten Commandments” features impressive vocal performances by Oscar winner Ben Kingsley (“Gandhi”) as the film’s narrator, Christian Slater (“Bobby”) as Moses, Alfred Molina (“Spiderman 2”) as Moses’ adoptive brother Ramses, and Elliott Gould (“Ocean’s Thirteen”) as the voice of God.
“The Ten Commandments” is filled with high adventure, miraculous events and a gentle sense of humor. It tells the moving tale of the prince-turned-prophet who delivered the Israelites from their oppression and declared, “Let My People Go.” Set in Egypt, the saga chronicles the obstacles and amazing events of Moses’ life including his exile, the parting of the Red Sea, his conversation with God on Mt. Sinai in which he receives the ten famed Biblical commandments, and Moses’ journey to the Promised Land.
The DVD bonus features include a music video of the film’s inspirational song “I Am Willing” performed by popular Christian vocalist Jeremy Camp, a behind-the-scenes featurette, interviews with voice talent and more.
The DVD will be available for the suggested retail price of $19.95.
