Snowed Under (1936): Romantic Comedy, Starring George Brent and Glenda Farrrell

Ray Enright’s Snowed Under is a Depression-era romantic comedy, starring George Brent.

Based on a short story of the same title by Lawrence Saunders, the screenplay is credited to F. Hugh Herbert and Brown Holms, with uncredited contributions by Edward Chodorov.

Brent plays a playwright named Alan Tanner, who’s always under pressure of tight deadlines. Set mostly within a remote cabin, during a snow storm, the tale centers on his interaction with three women he’s stuck with, two ex-wives and a girlfriend, played by Genevieve Tobin, Glenda Farrell, and Patricia Ellis.
