A popular film during the War, Wesley Ruggles' service comedy was a successful adaptation of GI Marion Hargrove's book, which chronicled the trials, tribulations, and triumphs of GI’s in an army camp. Credibly cast, Robert Walker gives a compelling performance in the lead role.
Depicting the adventures and misadventures, which define the life of a soldier. Hargrove was in and out of trouble and KP duty, but he ultimately wound up as a first-rate soldier.
