This is what movie star Janet Leigh said about the most famous scene in Hitchcock’s “Psycho”–and film history–the shower scene: “I feel like all these film historians are voyeurs, and I’m the constant object of their scrutinization. If I’d known 30 years ago that film students would be going over my body, frame by frame with a microscope, I probably would have asked for a body double.”
“Thousands, millions of people have told me they can’t take showers anymore,” Leigh said, “I don’t take showers. I don’t like being close in, I truly don’t.”
