Franco Zeffirelli made a visually stunning version of the popular Verdi opera, Otello, based on Shakespeare’s well-known play.
The movie, nominated for the Costume Design Oscar, is well cast with three terrific singers: Placido Domingo as Othello, Katia Riciarelli as Desdemona, and Justino Diaz as Iago.
