Directed by Naji Abu Nowar, Theeb tells the story of a Bedouin boy who makes a treacherous journey across the desert in order to guide a British officer to a secret location.

The Jordanian, U.K., UAE and Qatar co-production is produced by Bassel Ghandour and Rupert Lloyd for Bayt Al Shawareb and Noor Pictures.
Theeb competes for the foreign-language Academy Award with “Embrace of the Serpent,” “Mustang, “A War,” and “Son of Saul.”
