April 12, 2007–Bent Hamer’s “O’Horten” has been named best Norwegian film of 2007 by the Norwegian Film Critics Assn.
The picture, which was released in December and won four awards at the Tromso Festival in January, is the story of a retired train driver preoccupied by thoughts of death.
It’s the third time Hamer has won the prize, following wins for “Eggs” in 1995 and “Kitchen Stories” in 2003.
