Directed by Elliott Lester, and written by Frederick Mensch, Nightingale premiered on HBO on May 29, 2015.
The movie’s protagonist is Peter Snowden (David Oyelowo) a young middle-aged man, who records a video of his confession to murdering his mother.
She was unwilling to allow him, a contributor to their household expenses, to have the house to himself in order to entertain an old military buddy. While he feels no guilt for the crime, he regrets the amount of blood.
A YouTube vlogger, he admonishes himself that he can not upload this video and shuts the camera off.
