Museo (Museum) (2018): Mexican Ruizpalacios’s Heist Movie, Starring Gael Garcia Bernal

The Mexican heist film Museo, directed by Alonso Ruizpalacios, and written by him and Manuel Alcalá, world premiered at the 2018  Berlin Film Fest, where it won the Silver Bear Award for Best Screenplay.

Two students plan on robbing Mexico City’s National Museum of Anthropology, stealing invaluable Mayan, Mixtec and Zapotec art, during Christmas.

The two thieves break inside the museum and steal hundred of pieces. Back home, they watch on TV a news piece about their attack on national culture.
