Netflix has taken worldwide rights to David Wnendt’s Hitler satire, Look Who’s Back
The global deal, negotiated by sales company Beta Cinema, excludes Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Benelux, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Japan and Taiwan.
The film will make its premiere on Netflix on April 9.
The movie, in which the Führer wakes up in present-day multicultural Germany, has been a box-office hit in Germany, grossing 19.6 million euros ($21.8 million) since its release in October.
In the film, which is based on Timur Vermes’ bestselling novel, lead actor Oliver Masucci interacts in character with real people in “Borat”-like documentary scenes.
The film was produced by Christoph Müller and Lars Dittrich for Mythos Film and Constantin Film.
