Linha De Passe: Walter (Motorcycle Diaries) Salles’ Co-Directed Film Premiere at 2008 Cannes Fest

May 12, 2008–Co-directed by Walter Salles (“The Motorcycle Diaries”) and Daniela Thomas, “Linha De Passe” will receive its world premiere at the 2008 Cannes Film Fest.

The story is set in Sao Paulo, a city of 20 million inhabitants, 200 kilometers of traffic jams, 300,000 motorcycle messengers. At the heart of one of the toughest, most chaotic cities in the world, four fatherless brothers try find a way out, a way beyond their preordained paths.

Against the backdrop of Brazil in a state of emergency, “Linha de Passe” reunites Walter Salles and Daniela Thomas, co-directors of “Foreign Land,” introducing a family of young actors making their onscreen debut.

The cast includes Vincius de Oliveira, Joo Baldasserini, Jos Geraldo Rodrigues, Kaque de Jesus Santos, and Sandra Corveloni.

Seeking North American distribution, “Linha De Passe” is represented by the sales agent Mali Kinberg of Media Rights Capital.
