Directed by Michael Cacoyannis, Iphigenia, the third and last of the Greek tragedies by Euripides.
The film stars Irene Papas as Clytemnestra, who opposes to the sacrifice of her daughter Iphigenia, as determined by the priest Calchas, while the Greek fleet is on its way to recover Helen of Troy.
