Suicide Squad: Top Film on IMDb Site

Suicide Squad is the top 2016 movie on IMDb, based on the number of page views on the database site.

The top five films were all based on comic-book characters.

Disney-Marvel’s “Captain America: Civil War” took the second slot, followed by Warner’s “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” Fox’s “Deadpool,” and Fox’s “X-Men: Apocalypse.”

Captain America: Civil War is the top box office performer on the list at $1.15 billion worldwide.

Despite negative reviews, “Suicide Squad” performed well at the box office with $745 million worldwide following its August release.

Warner began its publicity campaign a year earlier at Comic-Con in San Diego.
Margot Robbie’s performance was so popular that Warner announced last week that it’s hired David Ayer to direct the spinoff “Gotham City Sirens,” featuring Robbie’s Harley Quinn and other female DC villains.

The top live-action film on the IMDb list was Disney’s “The Jungle Book” at No. 6, followed by the reboot of MGM’s “The Magnificent Seven” and the all-female reboot of “Ghostbusters.”
