Four Nights With Anna: Skolimowski’s Comeback

Four Nights with Anna represents Skolimowski’s return to filmmaking after a hiatus of 15 years.

The film was just awarded the Special Jury Prize at the Toyko International Film Festival (the jury was presided over by Jon Voight).  The film also opened the Director’s Fortnight section at this year’s Cannes Film Festival.

Jerzy has a distinguished career as a filmmaker.  He was the writer of Roman Polanski’s Oscar-nominated film KNIFE IN THE WATER.

Among his many international wins are: the Golden Bear award from the Berlin International Film Festival for his film LE DEPART, the Grand Jury Prize for THE SHOUT and Best Screenplay for MOONLIGHTING from the Cannes Film Festival, the Special Jury Prize from the Venice Film Festival for THE LIGHTSHIP.

His international nominations include nods for: TORRENTS OF SPRING, SUCCESS IN THE BEST REVENGE, BARRIER, FERDYDURKE and KING, QUEEN, KNAVE.
