Magnet Releasing will open DONKEY PUNCH in Los Angeles and New York on January 23, followed by a national roll out.
When best friends Kim, Tammi and Lisa go to Spain on holiday, all they want to do is forget their worries and party hard. But after meeting three lads in a club and going back to their luxurious yacht to take the party to the next level, things take a shocking turn for the worse and one of the group ends up dead.
What started out as fun and games quickly descends into chaos, as the paranoid group of survivors try to decide what should be done with the body. Alone at sea, the group have to get their story straight before heading back to the mainland, but arguments quickly escalate into a desperate fight for survival.
DONKEY PUNCH is the fourth release from Magnet’s SIX SHOOTER SERIES, a theatrical release of six films from the vanguard of quality worldwide genre cinema. With each film hailing from a different country, the series aims to bring fans of horror, sci-fi, alternative comedy and Asian cinema a mix of the most intelligent, genre-bending titles available from the around the globe.
First up was LET THE RIGHT ONE IN from Sweden, followed by the U.S. film SPECIAL. The Spanish sci-fi thriller TIMECRIMES opens on December 12. The French thriller EDEN LOG opens in February and BIG MAN JAPAN, from Japan in March.
