Dog Who Saved Easter, The: Latest in Family Franchise

The latest installment in the hit family franchise, The Dog Who Saved Easter, which features an all-star cast, will be released by Lionsgate on March 18.

The light and slender plot is set at Easter time, when the Bannisters are heading out on a family cruise.  Which also means they have to send the independently-minded Zeus to a daycare.  At first, everything goes according to the plan. Things change when the daycare’s rival across town hires three crooks to sabotage the business. Pulling all of his resources (and tricks), Zeus commits himself to save the daycare, creating along the way both new friends and new enemies.

Lionsgate will make The Dog Who Saved Easter available on DVD exclusively at Walmart on April 8, 2014. The film will be available on Video On Demand (VOD) and Pay-Per-View the same day.

The ensemble includes Mario Lopez (TV’s “EXTRA!”), Nicole Eggert (TV’s “Charles In Charge”), Dean Cain (TV’s “Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman”), Elisa Donovan (Clueless), Beverly Mitchell (TV’s “7th Heaven”), Patrick Muldoon (Starship Troopers), Catherine Hicks (TV’s “7th Heaven”), Joey “Cocoa” Diaz (Grudge Match) and Mindy Sterling (Austin Powers Franchise).
