Degrade, the first feature film by the twins Tarzan and Arab Nasser, will be released theatrically.
Based on true facts, the film portrays a group of women trapped in a beauty saloon in the Gaza strip by the war raging outside.
Selected for the 2015 Semaine de la Critique and numerous other festivals (the BFI in London, the Athens Film Festival where it won the Golden Athena award for best film and the Toronto International Film Festival).
Despite the seriousness of it subject matter, the film is defined by refreshing strokes of humor amidst this nonsensical situation and the astounding performances by extraordinary actresses, led by Hiam Abbass.
Dgrade will be released on French screens on April 27 by Le Pacte.
