Cosmos (2015): Polish Director Zulawski Wins Award at 2015 Locarno Film Fest

At the 2015 Locarno Film Fest, the Best Director prize went to Polish veteran Andrzej Zulawski for Cosmos, his first feature film in 15 years, adapted from the surreal novel by Witold Grombowicz.

The feature tells the story of two friends who spend time at a countryside guesthouse where they discover mysterious and frightening signs.

The filmmaker has labeled the movie as a “metaphysical noir thriller.”

Sadly, Cosmos became the last film of Zulawski, who died of cancer in 2016, age 75.
