Cannes Film Fest 2007—Lebanon has two different titles in the lineup of this year’s Directors Fortnight.
First, there is the social comedy “Caramel,” from Nadine Labaki, which has commercial prospects. (See our review).
The second Lebanese film is A Lost Man, by Danielle Arbid, who was in Directors’ Fortnight in 2004 with In the Battlefields.
Arbid’s new film concerns a photographer’s voyeuristic experiences in nighttime Beirut, inspired by real-life photographer Antoine d’Agata.
