Director Matt Reeves revealed the first look of the logo at his upcoming film The Batman on Thursday, as well as a teaser poster to promote the upcoming panel for the DC Films production at the DC FanDome virtual presentation on August 22.

The poster, designed by DC’s chief creative officer Jim Lee, depicts the Batsuit worn by Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne in the film. Reeves (“War for the Planet of the Apes,” “Let Me In”) is expected to unveil the first major first look at the movie during Saturday’s DC FanDome event, which will be hosted by Aisha Tyler.

The filmmaker first started tweeting out first looks at “The Batman” in February with a video of Pattinson with Michael Giacchino’s score for the film. After photos and video from the set leaked later that month and a more complete look at the Caped Crusader’s signature attire in early March, Reeves tweeted the first official look at the Batmobile.

As with the rest of the industry, the film had to suspend production in March due to the coronavirus pandemic. Reeves is set to restart production of “The Batman” in  September in the UK at Warner Bros. Studios Leavesden. The delay forced Warner to push back the release to October 1, 2021.

In July, Reeves and Terence Winter landed a series commitment from HBO Max for spin off series set in the world of the film that will explore the corruption within Gotham City.
