Produced by DreamWorks Animation and distributed by Fox, The Boss Baby is loosely based on the 2010 picture book of the same name by Marla Frazee;
Directed by Tom McGrath, from a screenplay by Michael McCullers, the comedy stars the voices of Alec Baldwin as the title character, along with Miles Bakshi, Steve Buscemi, Jimmy Kimmel, Lisa Kudrow, and Tobey Maguire.
The plot follows a 7 year old boy helping his baby brother who is a secret agent in the war for adults’ love between babies and puppies.
Alec Baldwin voices a suit-wearing, briefcase-carrying baby on a mission to maintain social older by keeping the other babies and his new older brother under control.
The baby is on a mission from Babycorp headquarters to stop their rival from stealing parental affection from talking babies everywhere.
Jimmy Kimmel and Lisa Kudrow voice the parents, while Tobey McGuire narrates the film.
Despite mixed critical reviews, the comedy was hugely successful, earning $528 million worldwide against its $125 million budget.

The film received Best Animated Feature Oscar nomination, but lost to Coco.
