August (2011): Eldar Rapaport’s Feature Debut (LGBTQ, Gay)

Eldar Rapaport’s feature directing debut, August, stars Murray Bartlett as Troy, a man returning from Spain to Los Angeles five years after abandoning his long-term relationship with Jonathan (Daniel Dugan).

His return creates problems for Jonathan, whose unresolved feelings and continued attraction to Troy threaten his relationship with his current partner Raul (Adrian Gonzalez).

Rapaport expanded into feature length his 2005 short, “Postmortem,” which also starred Bartlett and Dugan.
