Set during one week in the Cuban capital Havana, 7 Days in Havana is an anthology film, featuring one segment for each day.
Each chapter is directed by a different filmmaker. The seven directors are: Julio Medem, Laurent Cantet, Juan Carlos Tabio, Benicio Del Toro, Gaspar Noe, Pablo Trapero, and Elia Suleiman.
The screenplay of the film, which was shot on location in Havana, was written by the Cuban novelist Leonardo Padura Fuentes.
