3 Days in Quiberon (2018): Emily Atef’s Award-Winning Film about Romy Schneider

3 Days in Quiberon, the black-and-white drama from director Emily Atef depicts the final tell-all interview given by legendary Austrian Parisian-based  actress Romy Schneider before her death.

The feature was the big winner at the 2018 German Film Awards, the Lolas, earning 7 honors, including best film and best director.

The Best actress was a tight race between Marie Baumer, playing Schneider in Quiberon, and Diane Kruger, who was nominated for In the Fade, and the German academy picked Baumer.

Best supporting actress went to Austrian Birgit Minichmayr for Quiberon, in which she plays  Schneider’s best friend.

Co-star Robert Gwisdek won best supporting actor for playing the film’s journalist.
