Movie Stars: Grant, Cary–Screen Ladies, Myrna Loy

Cary Grant made three films with Myrna Loy, who was roughly his age. in the middle phase of his long and fruitful career.

Mr. Blandings Builds a Dream House, made in 1948, was the third and last pairing of Grant and Loy, who had shared a nice (comfortable) chemistry together, if not erotic or romantic tension.

Previously, Grant and Loy shared the screen together in the commercially popular 1947 comedy, The Bachelor and the Bobby-Soxer, co-starring Shirley Temple as a teenager, and in the 1935 not so successful Wings in the Dark.
