Sian Phillips won the National Society of Film Critics Award for “Goodbye Mr. Chips,” Dyan Cannon the N.Y. Film Critics Circle for “Bob & Carol &Ted & Alice,” Pamela Franklin the National Board of Review for “The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie,” and Celia Johnson won the British Academy Award, also for ” The Prime of Miss Jean Brodie.”
