Triple Crossing: Malkovich's Docu about Mexican Children Illegal Migration

Nov 20, 2008–John Malkovich plans to make a documentary about the plight of migrant children who cross illegally into the U.S. The actor-director says the docu will be titled “Triple Crossing” and will try to humanize the painful issue of illegal migration.

The film will be produced by Canana Films, a production company owned by Mexican actors Diego Luna and Gael Garcia Bernal. Malkovich is in Mexico directing the play “The Good Canary,” which opens November 26, 2008 for 10 weeks in Mexico City's Teatro Insurgentes. Luna, of “The Terminal” and “Y Tu Mama Tambien,” plays the lead character, writer Jack Parker.
