Carmel Musgrove, an associate producer and assistant to Joel Silver, has died in Bora Bora while vacationing with Silver, his family and Silver Pictures employees. She was 28.
Musgrove was found dead on the beach Thursday morning, according to a spokesperson for Silver. Friends had started searching for her Wednesday after she disappeared and called authorities after they were not successful.
The cause of death has not been determined. Musgrove began working with Silver as an intern at Los Angeles-based Silver Pictures, then became his assistant and served as an associate producer on Silver Pictures movies “Non-Stop,” “The Gunman” and the upcoming “The Nice Guys.”
“Joel Silver, his family and his staff are devastated by the passing of Carmel Musgrove. Carmel was a dear friend and respected colleague with a very bright future ahead of her. They will all miss her dearly,” the Silver spokesperson said.
Silver and Musgrove were in Bora Bora celebrating the wedding of Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, according to US Weekly.
