What: Labor Movie Night presented by Screen Actors Guild presents the Oscar-winning film Norma Rae. This marks the 30th anniversary of Norma Rae, and SAG will screen the film in support of the Employee Free Choice legislation, currently before the U.S. Congress, which is seen as the single most important bill to the American worker in the last 30 years.
Who: Appearing on a panel immediately before the film are Screen Actors Guild members including the star of Norma Rae, Emmy-winning Beau Bridges, co-star Gail Strickland, and Angela Reid who is also a union activist for UNITE HERE. Also appearing is Maria-Elena Durazo, Executive Secretary/Treasurer, Los Angeles County Federation of Labor
