Tarantino’s latest film, The Hateful Eight, will now be opening wide on New Year’s Day with the 35mm digital print version of the film, and will then broaden to even more theaters the following weekend.
The film was previously slated to open nationwide on January 8, 2016.
The Weinstein Company is still going ahead with the Christmas Day release of 70mm prints that will play on roughly 100 screens around the country, for a two-week run.
