In 1901, U.S. President William McKinley is under pressure to take action against bank robbers. He sends U.S. Navy Lieutenant Richard L. Perry undercover, without even notifying the Secret Service.
Using the alias Joe Patrick, Richard makes a pass at singer Lil Duryea, who performs at a club owned by her stepbrother Batiste, one of the gang’s ringleaders.
Undeterred, Joe persuades her to go out with him whenever Batiste and Jock leave town. Joe finally gets Jock to reveal the identity of the Bank Examiner’s mastermind.
