Spider Man: Homecoming: Keaton as Villain?

Michael Keaton may play the villain in Marvel-Sony Spider Man: Homecoming.

It marks a switch for Keaton from DC Comics to Marvel. The Oscar nominee played the Caped Crusader in Tim Burton’s smash hit, “Batman” in 1989.

Marisa Tomei is currently set to play Aunt May, and Zendaya is also on board. The villain Keaton is being eyed to play is also being kept under wraps.

Jon Watts is directing the film from a script by John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein. Kevin Feige and Amy Pascal are producing the movie, which focuses on a teenage Peter Parker’s high school days.

Holland’s Spider-Man will first make an appearance in the upcoming “Captain America: Civil War,” with a standalone pic bowing on July 7, 2017. Production is expected to start this summer.

Keaton was recently seen in “Birdman” and “Spotlight,” which both took home Oscars for best picture. Keaton also earned a best actor nomination for “Birdman.” He can next be seen in “The Founder” as McDonald’s founder Ray Kroc.
