Peter Jackson's Lovely Bones Trailer and comment

Dear Readers,

I am delighted to let you know that we have just launched a new, exciting feature on our website: Video.  The new element, which includes trailers, audio-visual interviews, and so on, now includes visuals of some of the high-profile, upcoming pictures this fall and winter–and next year.

We have just posted the new trailer of Peter Jackson's “Lovely Bones,” which will not be released by Paramount until December 11, but already enjoys Oscar buzz, due to the combination of director, writers, text, and cast.

To watch the trailer, please go to the Video section.

Based on the critically acclaimed best-selling novel by Alice Sebold, and directed by Oscar-winner Peter Jackson from a screenplay by Jackson & Fran Walsh & Philippa Boyens (his collaborators on “Lord of the Rings”), “Lovely Bones” centers on a young girl (played by Oscar nominee Saoirse Ronan), who has been murdered and watches over her family–and her killer–from heaven.  Faced with a moral dilemma, she must weigh her desire for vengeance against her desire for her family to heal.

Mark Wahlberg, Rachel Weisz and Susan Sarandon star along with Stanley Tucci, Michael Imperioli and Saoirse Ronan.
